Bernadette Mah is the Project Coordinator for the Functional Pathogenomics of Mucosal Immunity (FPMI) project and is based at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. She works closely with Dr. Bob Hancock(UBC), Dr. Paul Hodgson(VIDO) and the FPMI management team, and is responsible for managing the UBC and SFU components of the FPMI project, including financial administration, human resources, communications and liaison with industry and university collaborators. 

Bernadette completed her M.Sc. in Microbiology at UBC, and was a research assistant in infectious diseases at UBC and the University of Ottawa. She has extensive experience in research program administration. Prior to joining Genome Prairie, she was Manager of Science and Technology Programs at the Science Council of BC, where she was responsible for delivery and administration of provincially-funded research and scholarship programs. She assisted many early stage companies in the biotechnology, computing and environmental technology sectors in BC, and organized a number of seminars on technology commercialization for start-up companies. Bernadette has also been actively involved with technology development organizations in BC, including BC Biotech, Vancouver Enterprise Forum and the National Research Council IRAP network.
